In general a security profile is a set of pre-configured values for parameters that control the security behavior of your system, such as how long passwords last, or what privileges are assigned to users. Once you choose a profile, you can switch to another profile, or change any one of the dozens of parameters on an individual basis.
An important step in the first stages of implementation is to set you security profile options.
No need to bother yourself creating a security profile when you create your business group, because oracle will create this profile for you. This profile will have the same name of the business group. You only need to set the system profile values.
In the following we will set two system profile values
- HR security profile: set the value of it to the business group name under the responsibility
- HR user type : set the value to “HR with payroll user” under the human resources application
